After watching a string of dismal movies in the Netflix Basement, I switched over to see if there were some hidden treasures I was missing over in the Amazon Prime Dungeon. Short answer: No. What I did find were some appalling pieces of trash that barely qualify as movies, let alone anything worthy of your time. This week, we delve into the un-Corman-ian Space Boobs in Space.
Space Boobs in Space (2017)
I know, I know, the title alone should tell me all I needed to know. But the movie description promised a Roger Corman style romp with Space Valkyries. What I got was barely even a movie. Space Boobs in Space is a series of brutally unfunny comedy vignettes featuring zaftig women with glittery face paint and green wigs, and dime store space costumes acting in front of a curtain. They couldn’t even afford a green screen. IMDB estimates the budget at $1,000, but that seems decadent based on what I see on-screen. After a while, the movie breaks down and the filmmakers and actors talk about how they are making the movie Space Boobs in Space.
Bottom Line:
This is absolutely terrible, a tedious dud with public access TV production values.
