The “Tim and Eric” spin-off has arguably eclipsed the show that spawned it, due to John C. Reilly making the collective heads of his audience spin since trading away more dramatic roles in Hollywood for what he seemed born to play: comedy. Luckily, Dr. Steve Brule, the dim-witted host of a fictional public access television show, has been the most constant character in the actor’s repertoire.
